Băneasa Shopping City grand opening event scheduled for spring 2008 18.03.2008 Bãneasa Shopping City has already become “the most eagerly awaited fashion mall from Romania”. The future mall, located in the Commercial Area of the Bãneasa Project is already positioning itself as a matchless “fashion mall” collecting under the same roof, tens of new brands, in premiere for Romania. Little time is left until the grand opening event scheduled in spring 2008. Once the gates are opened, besides the important fashion brands, Baneasa Shopping City will also offer the first 3 level food-court in the country with a ground floor dedicated to fast-food, a first floor for restaurants and a second floor designed for the club & lounge area. Baneasa Shopping City will also bring in the second phase of construction a unique concept: the largest entertainment center from Romania. Baneasa Shopping City is an integrated part of Baneasa Commercial Area – the 450,000 m² retail park that comprises: IKEA, the number 1 furniture retailer in the world, CARREFOUR, one of the largest in the country, together with its shopping gallery FEERIA, METRO, the most important “cash & carry” store in Romania, BRICOSTORE, the most successful Do-It-Yourself store in the country, MOBEXPERT, number 1 Romanian furniture retailer and producer and MOTOR CITY, a sales area dedicated to the most famous car brands. Baneasa Commercial Area is one of the three integrated parts of the Baneasa Project, itself the largest mixed use urban development project in the South Eastern Europe. The investment in the project exceeds €1.8 billion and will cover over 221 hectares of land. In addition to the 450,000 m² of retail area, Baneasa Project will offer approximate 4500 - 5,000 housing units in Baneasa Rezidential and a state-of-the-art business park incorporating 160,000 m² of class A and A+ office space in Baneasa Business & Technology Park.
